Surveys of American willingness to secede as part of regional blocs, with West Coast respondents asked about a Pacific union of Washington, Oregon, California, Alaska and Hawaii. By the June 26 to July 2, 2021 wave, 47 percent of Pacific-region Democrats expressed support and overall willingness reached 37 percent. The Pacific bloc question was widely read against the Cascadia idea.
