About Us
Our Mission:
An independent bioregion that is regenerative, democratic and just, as part of a world of watershed movements around the world.
The Department of Bioregion is dedicated to placing bioregionalism into mainstream thought as a viable alternative to capitalism and the nation state. We seek to deepen our understanding and connection to the Cascadia bioregion, and grow an interconnected network of bioregions and bioregional movements around North America and the world.
Our work has been featured in a wide range of publications, such as Vice Magazine, Geekwire, USA Today, NPR, the CBC, NYtimes, CNN, Forbes, Portland Monthly, the Seattle Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Oregonian and many others.
