Cascadia Day BBQ & Flag Making

  • 4601 Shilshole Ave NW Seattle, WA 98107 (map)

Spring is almost here, and with it Cascadia Day!

Join us this year as we celebrate this bioregional holiday.

Bring food. Join other awesome Cascadians. Make flags & other fun art!

Cascadia Day was founded by former Seattle University professor David McCloskey as it is the anniversary of the Mt. St. Helens eruption which reminds us all that our region is continually being shaped by it's geography, geology, and inhabitants. It offers a chance for Cascadians to unite in celebrating the things that make Cascadia so special. Bring your Cascadia swag and a flag, or come make your own Doug Flag with us at this celebratory event.

What we’ve got:

  • Potluck picnic with a hot grill provided

  • Flag making station with craft supplies and poles

  • Sewing assistant - bring your own fabric and we’ll help you get a hand made flag put together

  • Fire Pit for evening songs and stories
