We’d love to take a minute and welcome Jad Baaklini to our Department of Bioregion team.
Jad Baaklini is a communications specialist who immigrated to the United States in the summer of 2018. He joined the Cascadia Movement within days of landing in SeaTac, first as Social Media Intern, and then as Community Engagement Director, at CascadiaNow!, the non-profit Brandon founded and led until 2017.
Jad’s involvement with CN! lasted until the first months of the pandemic, so he’s excited to reconnect with the Movement in this fresh yet familiar role as Communications Director at DOB.
