North America Council for Regional Determination
The Cascadia Department of Bioregion is a founding member of the North American Council for Regional Determination. This group meets regularly with groups and organizations from around North America who are aligned to similar principles and goals of furthering greater regional self-determination and coordinate strategy and provide back end support for mobilizing support and action.
The goal of this council is to:
Coordinate effective mobilization in the case of a contested election, efforts to limit the voting process or an election that does reflect the values of the voters within the Cascadia bioregion.
Develop, research and propose models for greater bioregional self-determination in North America.
Create a coordinated communication strategy between groups within North America.
Create a Shared Principles and Organizing Principles Document.
Provide administrative and backend organizational support to create stronger institutions.
