Announcing the Cascadia Passport: Welcome to Cascadia Illahee
We believe a better future is possible. Are you a lover of Cascadia and the Pacific Northwest of North America?
Travelers, inhabitants, hikers, citizens, adventurers, explorers, denizens, historians, and everyone in between - the Cascadia Passport is here!
We are excited to announce our first full run of Cascadia Passports! It contains 56 pages full color pages covering the nine regions of the Cascadia Bioregion - including ecoregions and fun facts for each.
With the Cascadia Passport, it is our hope to begin to shift thinking away from simply US, Canadian or other nationalities, and inspire people to begin to think locally, bioregionally and globally, as both a citizen of their watershed - and the world.
We also create this passport with full acknowledgement that we live on ceded, and unceded lands of dozens of First Nations and Peoples, and do so with respect, and list the lands and groups in each, using indigenous languages and Chinook for place names wherever possible.
In addition, more than just a passport, we are looking to build a grassroots buy local network of hundreds of businesses, events, organizations that are actively working to make ur region a better place, providing a range of benefits for passport holders, including discounts and free entry for all sorts of things.
Become a Cascadia Citizen & Get Your Passport!
Our first run of passports is limited to 1000 copies, and printed locally here in Cascadia at Girlie Press in Seattle and we are selling them for $29.95 a piece, or they are included with any Dept of Bioregion membership.
You can also choose to have it customized, in which we’ll print your information & image into each one.
