Cascadia Community Organizer

The Cascadia Department of Bioregion is a 501(c)(3) program dedicated to supporting a thriving, regenerative Cascadia bioregion rooted in place-based identity, resilience, and stewardship. As the cultural and organizing hub of the Cascadia movement, the Department works to defend what makes our region unique, build the institutions our future requires, and foster a shared sense of bioregional belonging. It also serves as a center for research, mapping, and educational initiatives that highlight the ecological, cultural, and economic richness of Cascadia.

Founded in 2020, the Department of Bioregion works globally to support the creation of bioregional departments, models, and frameworks that help communities organize at the scale of their ecosystems. While the Cascadia Department of Bioregion focuses on this specific bioregion, it operates as part of a broader network working to grow a world of interconnected bioregions and regenerative movements.

The Cascadia Community Organizer plays a key role in activating this vision—helping grow the movement by building relationships, coordinating events and projects, and amplifying regional identity through digital platforms and real-world engagement. This position connects people to meaningful ways to get involved and directly supports the growth of the Cascadia Department of Bioregion’s communications, programs, and community presence.
